MacDonald Farm is Open for the Season

MacDonald Farm is open for the season and they celebrated with lots of family activities on the farm this past Sunday, June 28th.

Macdonald Farm is open for the season.

The ‘fun day on the farm’ had a petting zoo and pony rides from Edgewood Farms, a BBQ, tours of the MacDonald House, face painting, jumping castles and balloon characters from Ian Donovan along with other activities.

Located in Bartibog, overlooking the Miramichi River, MacDonald Farm is a great place to enjoy a family day for all ages while teaching children about life on a farm. A tour of the restored property, in the company of costumed guides, will take you back to the 1820s when the family of Scottish settler, Alexander MacDonald, helped to develop the area.

The farm is operated by the Highland Society of New Brunswick at Miramichi and is open for tours and also events, private functions and weddings. Hours of operation:  Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am-4pm. Also visit their website at www.macdonaldfarm.ca.
