12 Homeless Hours Raises Awareness
Miramichi Youth House’s largest annual fundraiser, 12 Homeless Hours, kicked off Saturday evening at 6 pm in the Ritchie Wharf Park, Newcastle. The event raises awareness about the homeless with teams of up to five people building shelters out of cardboard boxes and sleeping outside in the elements until 6 am Sunday morning.
During the event teams enjoyed some fun time with karaoke and a BBQ. Thirty-six teams participated making the 6th Annual event the most well attended to date.
