March Programs at the Newcastle Library

There’s more to the local library than just books! Here are the programs for the month of March at the Newcastle library. You’ll find something for all ages – kids, families and adults too!

PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
Care and Share (Tuesdays 2 – 3 PM) is a free healing and fitness program designed for women recently diagnosed with or going through cancer as well as survivors.
Career Information Centre Job Search Skills (March 22nd 10-12 PM) Registration required: call 623-2450.

ALL AGES WELCOME
MakerSeries (March 17th 3:00-4:00 PM) is a chance to meet and learn from a Maker in our community. This month Patrick Pelletier will teach us about micro-controllers (arduinos) and programming. Registration required: call 623-2450. Ages 10 – Adults.
Film Night: Des femmes inspirées et inspirantes (6-8 PM) is a chance to celebrate Rendez-vous de la Francophonie and watch films in French (with English subtitles) about inspiring and inspired women. Come for the films, stay for the discussion! Ages 8 – Adults.

PROGRAMS FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES
Storytime (Fridays 10:30-11:30 AM) is a program for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. We will share stories, songs and activities to support language learning and fun! Please note there will be NO storytime March 9th and 30th)
Cinema Saturday (March 10th 2-4 PM) Bring the whole family to the movies for free, popcorn included!
Team STEAM (March 7th and 21st 6-7 PM) is a chance for kids 6 and up to get their hands dirty while learning about science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Registration required: call 623-2450.
Freaky Friday! (March 2nd and 16th 3:30-4:30 PM) Drop–in after school for activities and games as creative as you are. Ages 6+
