The Green Fair, funded by the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund, will be held on October 17th, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Miramichi Agricultural Exhibition Association.

The Green Fair is a celebration of responsible environmental practices aimed to educate and encourage people of all ages to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Green Fairs allow participants to visualize how their seemingly insignificant individual efforts can make a difference in their community.

Over 20 local organizations and exhibitors from across the province will be onsite to answer questions on landfilling, transfer stations, converting methane gas to energy, recycling, composting, hazardous waste management, waste reduction initiatives and more.

The Green Fair will highlight exhibits, demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Residents will have the opportunity to learn how to manage the waste that they produce and discover what happens to waste and recyclables once it leaves the curb.

Green Leaf Award Recipients will be recognized for their demonstration of exceptional commitment to
environmental leadership in the Greater Miramichi Region.

The Green Leaf Award will be presented based on three (3) categories: one individual, one school and one non-profit organization!
