Newcastle Lion’s Club Recognizes Members With Awards And Pins For Years Of Service

On Wednesday evening, February 6th, 2019, during one of their meetings, the Newcastle Lion’s Club recognized members with awards and pins for contribution of years of service to their club.

Among those present were Zone Chairman, John Colborne, a member of the Douglastown Lion’s Club.


Patrick “Pat” Waldriff – 10 Years, Gary MacIsaac – 15 Years, Thomas “Tom” Power – 15 Years, John “Harry” Hoekman – 20 Years, Paul Matheson – 30 Years, André Villeneuve – 35 Years, James “Jim” Laws Sr. – 50 Years, and missing: Daryl MacTavish – 55 Years  




The Newcastle Lion’s Club was chartered in 1965 and are proud to have been serving he community for over 50 years.

They are very active in the community, supporting the seniors, youth and sick, just to name a few.

They are always looking for Volunteers to help us make a difference in our community.

The purpose of this group is to highlight some of the great things that we, as Lions do, often unnoticed.

We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month and can be reached at 1-506-622-4293.
