Art Tells Stories Exhibit
May 29th to June 6th.
At the Newcastle Library, Miramichi
As in previous years this event is shared with our colleagues from the Bay Breeze Art Gallery in Bathurst. Our theme this year is Ghosts, legends and folklore of Northern New Brunswick. The hours for this event are the same as those of the Newcastle Library. Tuesday & Wednesday: 1pm-8pm and Thursday to Saturday: 10am to 5pm. We hope to see you there, bring a friend or two, it is free to the public and all artwork is for sale.
Annual Plein Air Festival
July 19th and the 20th, in Bathurst
Held in conjunction with the Bathurst Hospitality Days, many of us will be set up along Main Street in the downtown area. Main Street will be cordoned off for the public to meander about to view the old cars and perhaps lounge outside in the sidewalk cafes and outdoor bistros. The Show and Shine is Saturday for this event. All artists will display their finished work outside the Bay Breeze Gallery at 82 Douglas Avenue, for direct sales. This is a change from prior years when we had displayed new works for a Silent Auction. This year we will price each work separately to be sold and taken rather than displayed and picked up at the end of the Festival.
Many in the Miramichi Art Core like to paint outdoors so you may see us painting during the Irish Festival in Chatham or later in August at MacDonald Farm. If you see any of us, don’t be shy. Come talk to us. We are very approachable and are happy to talk about our work.
Join the Group!
The Miramichi Art Core meets on the last Sunday of every month at Carrefour Beausoleil from 3pm to 4:30 pm. Those meetings give us the opportunity to share new work or on-going projects. We discuss what is happening in the art world throughout the province and encourage each other through our artwork. You are welcome to join us, no experience necessary. We are always looking for new members to share with and inspire us. For more information contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
