Boyd Underhill to Celebrate 80th Birthday With Open House
Blackville resident Boyd Underhill celebrates his 80th birthday on February 6, 2014. To commemorate this special milestone, friends and family are invited to an open house on Saturday, February 1 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Saint Andrews United Church Hall in Blackville. Best wishes only.
A professional guide who spends much time on the river, Boyd was born in Newcastle in 1934. He was a peacekeeper with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1951 to 1956 and a former construction worker. He is the current president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #49 in Blackville, and has been for many years.
Boyd is married to Fern Underhill and has five children: Brian, Brenda, Ira, Heather and Harold (deceased).
