Blackville Soccer Group Meeting

On Thursday, March 21st, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m., come out to Blackville’s Trio Pizza, located at 4 Shaffer Lane in Blackville for the Blackville Soccer Group Meeting. This may seem early but spring is just around the corner so the soccer season planning has begun. Any parents or community members who would be interested in helping coach or run the program to please join us.
They welcome new and old volunteers. This program will run for 10 weeks on Tuesday evening and provided the snow is gone will start the last Tuesday in May.

Maritime NHLers for Kids Announce “Marchy’s Maritime Kids” Program

On Monday, January 28th, 2019, Maritime NHL’ers for Kids and Stanley Cup winner Brad Marchand introduced a NEW program as part of the Event’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. The program will help young boys and girls in the Maritimes get on the ice. “Marchy’s Maritime Kids” will see Brad donate $100 for every goal he scores this season. Miramichi Athletes to Represent Canada at the Dance World Cup

Five Miramichi athletes have been chosen by World Performers Canada to compete at the Dance World Cup in Portugal 2019. Sydnee Gallant, Tyra Humphreys, Abby Keenan, Anna Sturgeon and Claire Wood, who dance under the direction of Nancy Hutt at Spotlights & Sequins dance studio, auditioned for and were selected by World Performers Canada in August. 4 Hours at French Fort Cove – Bike Miramichi Event

On September 16th, 2018 Velo NB and Bike Miramichi hosted their Annual 4 Hour French Fort Cove Mountain Bike Event. The main loop for the event was 10.8 km and the youth category had a 6km loop. Participants of the event must do as many laps as they can around the designated loop they’ve signed up for in the 4 hour time frame. If a participant or team finish a loop at 3h 59 mins, they can continue to do one more lap if they wish. Read more »
