Session 3 - "Giv'er"
Getting off the couch and going after what you want! Discovering opportunities and overcoming obstacles. The story continues
"What if you don't make it?" The man looked toward his dream, looked at the comfort zone, and didn't know what to do. Then he heard the eagle calling out "Believe in Yourself!" The man counteracted with positive "what if" statements
With that, Nasty shrunk from all of the positive statements and the man continued moving forward toward his dream. He met three more characters on the bridge; opportunity, change and perseverance. He learned the following lessons from them Opportunity
- Opportunity is usually disguised as a problem or challenge. It quietly
presents itself and you don't notice it unless you are ready, unless you
are looking for it or at least open to different possibilities. You have
to be in a certain frame of mind, before you will recognize opportunity.
Otherwise it goes by unnoticed. Change - Change said, "I'm here to warn you, things are really different up ahead. Not comfortable like things were back there. You might not like it." The man learned with change he had a choice. He could fight it or embrace it. When we embrace change magical things can happen and it may lead to success. Think of one small thing you could do differently today that will point
you in a new direction, and have a positive effect on your life. Can you think of anything YOU can change today? Perseverance -
Percy
for short, says "I work hard, always complete what I start and I
always get to where I am going. It doesn't matter if there are obstacles
in my way
I find my way around them. It doesn't matter if my load
is heavy.
Successful People There are many famous and successful people from the Miramichi
entrepreneurs, Humans have a tendency to "snub" those who are successful with the "who do they think they are" attitude instead of celebrating the achievements of others. Who do you think is successful? Look at what they've done and find your motivation and inspiration from their success. There are many opportunities still waiting to be discovered.Take the
goalie From every problem there is a possibility. To us now, it is obvious.
We can't imagine Five, ten or twenty years ago we'll look back on today,
after another great idea and Look around you, find the obvious!
you will see farther.
