Rural Community of
Upper Miramichi
The Rural Community of Upper Miramichi spans the world-famous Miramichi River, its streams and tributaries. Historic
communities such as Boiestown, Astle, New Bandon, Ludlow, Taxis River, Bloomfield, and Holtville are scattered along
this majestic river. These small communities allow you to experience the lives of our ancestors, all the while exploring our
forests and magical shores — A world-famous Atlantic salmon fishing river unspoiled by factories and mills, protected by
our communities.
Cast your line on our river, sleep in famous fishing lodges, canoe our
rippling waters, explore our forests, saunter along our shores, admire the Local Attractions
