Three Week Camp Itinerary
Week 1
July 17th– Day1(Sunday): Arrival in New Brunswick
12:00pm (Midnight) – Flight would arrive at Moncton Airport.
1:30am – Arrival in Miramichi
July 18th– Day 2- Families get familiar with international student. Student rests.
July 19th Day 3: Outdoor Environmental/Team Building Experiences (Miramichi Valley High School- Back Parking Lot)
12:30pm – Welcome/Introduction to SMART Technology
1:30pm – High Elements Course
4:00pm – Return to Host Family
(Evening is Free for Family Activities/Shopping/Movies, etc.)
July 20th : Atlantic Salmon Museum

10:00am – 12:00pm – Fly Casting/Fly Tying/SMART Board Presentations
12:00pm – 1:00pm – Lunch
1:00pm – 5:00pm – Suspension Walking Bridge/Canoeing
5:00pm – Salmon/Fiddlehead Supper
6:00pm – Bus back to Miramichi
7:00pm – Picked up by host Family
July 21st- Day 5: Beach Combing (Escuminac Beach)

9:00am – 11:00am – Multi-Media Lab (JMH): Continuation of SMART training.
11:00am – 11:30am – Lunch at JMH
1:00pm – Arrive at Escuminac Wharf/Welcome!
2:00pm – Meet Lobster Fishing Boats at Point Sapin
3:00pm – Escuminac Beach/Swimming/Beach Combing
4:00pm – 5:00pm – Lobster Boil/Bar-B-Que Hamburgers/Hot Dogs
6:00pm- Students are picked up by parents at JMH
July 22nd Salmon Conservation/Aboriginal Culture (Salmon Conservation Center/Metepenagiag) http://www.metepenagiag.com/
9:00am – 11:30am – Arrive at Atlantic Conservation Center/Tour/Trout Fishing http://www.salmoncentre.ca/
12:00pm – Traditional Native Lunch at Metepenagiag
1:00pm – Heritage Park Tour/GPS Treasure Hunt (Cultural Artifacts)/Native Cultural Experience
5:00pm – Return to Host Families
(Evening is Free for Family Activities/Shopping/Movies, etc along with Saturday and Sunday)
Week 2 Morada Resort – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

9:00am Campers Arrive
9:30am Continuing SMART technologies training (advanced)

1:00pm Canoeing/ Kayaking
2:00pm Introduction to digital photography
5:00pm Supper
6:00pm Hiking
7:30pm Making dream catchers with Native Elder
9:00pm Campfire /Entertainment and Music
10:00pm Back to Cabin

10:30am Outdoor Adventures at French Fort Cove with Eddie Pinder (MOVE Miramichi)
12:00pm Outdoor Cooking with Eddie Pinder (MOVE Miramichi)
2:00pm Miramichi River Boat Tour
4:00pm Host Families need to pick up students at Ritches Wharf
August 3rd Wednesday
9:00am IPAD pre-development stages- Creating the layout
11:00am Middle Island
12:00pm Lunch at Middle Island –Picnic
1:00pm Multi-media lab to work on layout for IPAD development
3:00pm Soccer Game
4:00pm Students are picked up by host families
August 4th Thursday
9:00am Finishing SMART Technology/Digital Photography/ IPAD for
evening presentation
12:00pm Lunch
1:00pm Stewart’s Tubing- Tube down the Miramichi River
4:00pm Host Families must pick up students at JMH
6:00pm Supper for host families and exchange students
7:00pm Presentations / Show all students work created throughout the weeks
August 5th Friday
9:00am Reflection on camp- Students will discuss their visit and fill out a short survey.
10:00am Take the historic walking tour of Chatham
12:00pm Lunch
1:00pm SMART Board Games
2:30pm Baseball
4:30pm Supper
6:00pm Beaubears Island – The Spirit of Marie Jacqueline Bellefontaine Adventure- Two hour experience, including the bat ride to and from Wilson’s Point
9:00pm French Fort Cove- Dare the Dark with the Headless Nun
10:00pm Host Families pick up children at French Fort Cove
August 6th and 7th is spent with host family
August 7th (Sunday)- students return to airport.
