The Gillis Family to Perform at Irish Tea
On Sunday, March 16, Saint Raphael’s Catholic Women’s League will be hosting an Irish Tea. The event takes place from 2 to 4 pm at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall, 105 Main Street in Blackville. Entertainment will be by The Gillis Family, and a light lunch and tea will be provided.
The price of admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Peggy McLaughlin at 843-6614, Mary Ellen Sturgeon at 843-2474 or Louise Brophy at 843-2865.
The Gillis Family was formed in 1991 and they have been entertaining since. They have been compared to the Rankin Family and the Andrew Sisters. The Gillis Family play numerous instruments and are well known for their harmonies.
