Chatham Public Library Fall Programs

The Chatham Public Library located at 24 King Street, Chatham – Miramichi East is back in full swing with a wide variety of fall programs for all ages and you don’t want to miss out on!

The library is open Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm noon and 1:30pm to 5pm. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Schedule of Fall Programs

Storytime (Age 2-5)

Help your child foster a lifelong love of reading by engaging in stories, songs, crafts, and more! This drop-in program is designed for children ages 2-5 but is often enjoyed by children of any age. Fridays at 10:30 am.

After School STEAM Club (Age 5+)

A fun drop-in program for school aged kids where they will get to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Mathematics through various crafts, challenges, games, activities, and more. Friday, October 4 & 18 and November 1, 15, & 29 at 3:30

Tween Scene (Age 8-12)

Frankentoys – Repurpose old toys into unique little monsters! Saturday, October 12 at 2:30 pm.

Ultimate Slime Party – Ooey gooey slimy fun! What better way to spend the afternoon than making your very own slime? There will be lots of add-ins to choose from! November 9 at 2:30 pm.

Movie Night (All Ages)

Join us for a movie on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm.

We will provide popcorn & drinks but feel free to bring a blanket/pillow and make yourself comfortable! **Parents/guardians are asked to stay in the room during the movie.

Tuesday, October 15– Toy Story 4 (100 Minutes – Rated G)

Tuesday, November 19 – Secret Life of Pets 2 (86 Minutes – Rated PG)

Maker Neighborhood (Age 2-12)

Once a month we will be showcasing all the cool stuff you can do at the library. Come play with our puppets, build something cool with LEGO or Magnatiles, create something with craft supplies, or try something techy like the Osmo or Snap Circuits. Kids (with a parent or guardian) are invited to drop-in anytime between 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, October 19 and November 16 to explore, think, make, and learn!

Make & Mingle (Age 18+)

Get creative and enjoy a social outing at the library! Details on the craft will be released at a later date. Check our Facebook page for more details later. Must be 18+ to participate. Registration required. Coffee & tea will be served. Thursday, November 28 @ 6:30
