Hospice Miramichi – Growing to Meet Your Needs
Life can change dramatically in just a single moment.
Once you or a family member is diagnosed with a chronic life-limiting disease, life does change.
You will need help and support in many ways.
We, at Hospice Miramichi, will be there for you.
We can drive you to necessary out-of-town medical appointments, provide periods of in-home companionship and allow family caregivers a break, welcome you to our Day Hospice program where you will meet new friends and enjoy a variety of activities, host a grief support group, and so much more.
All of this is done at no cost to you and with no government funding.
As we look at moving into 2020, we are also preparing for our residential hospice program.
In order to grow and meet the needs of our community, our financial needs have also grown.
Your support of our fundraisers allows us to provide the services that we do for our community.
You are an essential part of our programs!
Without your support, we could not do what we do.
The Hospice Shoppe
The Hospice Shoppe has new and gently used clothing and home décor for sale at excellent prices.
It has expanded and moved to 139 Duke St where you can shop or drop off your donations for the shop.
The shop is open Monday to Friday 10:00-4:30 and Saturday 10:00-3:00.
Bucket of Bucks Toonie Draw
The Bucket of Bucks toonie draw, which began in July, has gotten off to a great start and has increased in prize amount each week so far. Remember, this draw is 60/40 with 60% going to the lucky winner! Tickets can be bought at the Hospice Shoppe or at many locations around the city.
The She Shed was incredibly successful with tickets selling out much earlier than expected.
You can look for tickets on a new She Shed in 2020. It will be back!
Home for the Holidays
The annual Home for the Holidays event will be held at the Loggie Cultural Centre at 222 Wellington St. this year from November 14th to 17th.
Come admire the beautifully decorated trees and bid on your favourite.
It is here, as well, that you can see our Angels Remembered displayed on a special memorial tree.
Angels Remembered will be for sale prior to this event so that the person you are remembering may have their angel hung on the tree for the event.
We hope that you will continue to support our important work through one or more of these fundraisers and through future fundraisers.
