Fishermen’s Powwow – Gitpo Spirit

We are pleased to be a part of a MIRAMICHI summer tradition.

6:00 am – Our Sunrise Ceremony will start off the day at Waterfront Green on Wednesday, July 1st.

7:00 pm – Join us at the opening ceremonies with traditional dancers and drummers taking the stage.

We will have welcoming remarks from Regional AFN Chief Roger Augustine. Little known fact, the Fishermen Powwow Committee is a co-sponsor of the Fireworks display.

Let’s get together to show the rest of Canada that MIRAMICHI is the best place in the country to live in harmony, peace and friendship.
