The Historical Society of Church River will be having a Spring Social on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., at the Burnt Church – New Jersey Senior’s Hall (Old School House), 419 Burnt Church Road, Burnt Church, New Brunswick. The guest speaker is Mr. Emilen LeBreton, local historian and a member of the Néguac Historical Society. The topic he will be speaking on, is the ties between Burnt Church – New Jersey and Lower Néguac.

With 10 days until the New Brunswick Special Olympic Winter Games in Miramichi kick off, the Miramichi Chapter of the New Brunswick Special Olympics are pleased to introduce many of it’s athletes in various sports. Our own Mighty Content Coordinator, Anthony McLean is honored, proud and excited to be part of this upcoming event happening right here in the Miramichi from February 21st to 24th. He will be competing in Candle Pin 10 Pin Bowling!! Other sports with these games include Floor Hockey, Curling and Snowshoeing and athletes, coaches and volunteers will grace Miramichi soil from all over New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island!!

The 2019 Special Olympics New Brunswick Winter Games is less than a month away – February 21st to 24th, 2019, right here in the Miramichi! Over 400 Athletes, Coaches and Volunteers will be here in the Miramichi from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island! The sports played in the 2019 Special Olympics New Brunswick Games will be: Bowling, Floor Hockey, Snowshoeing and Curling. To make it more exciting, a official mascot for the 2019 Special Olympics New Brunswick Winter Games in Miramichi has been launched!

The Friends of Île Beaubears Island will once again host Miramichi historians in a Speaker Series during the month of February. Presentations will occur in the library at the Nelson Rural School, 26 Saint Patrick’s Drive, in Nelson Miramichi, at 7pm on Monday and Thursday evenings throughout the month.
