Greater Blackville Resource Centre Launches Christmas Fundraising Campaign

With Christmas quickly approaching, the Greater Blackville Resource Centre is looking for donations to brighten the holiday season for their clients in need.

The GBRC has teamed up with Main Street ValuFoods to raise money for the food bank. When checking out, ask the cashier to add $2 to your purchase and your name will go in the draw for Blackville Valufoods gift certificates. One $50 and two $25 certificates will be awarded; to be drawn on Monday, December 23.

On Saturday, December 7, the Blackville Air Cadets will be collecting non-perishable food items for the food bank at the Blackville Community Centre immediately following the annual Santa Claus Parade, which starts at 5:00pm. Items most needed are cereal, canned fruit, canned beans, canned milk and peanut butter.

The food bank is also looking for cash donations to help reach their goal of $800 to provide 40 households with a turkey and trimmings for Christmas.
