Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the world, with an estimated 100,000 Canadians living with the disease. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults aged 15 to 40, younger children and older adults are also diagnosed with the disease. MS can occur at any age. Working as an MRI technologist, I often scan patients to rule out MS or to track the progression of the disease in known MS sufferers.
