Celebrate the season with the Living Christmas Tree

Bright red Christmas ornament hanging on Xmas TreeIt’s already December and the annual Living Christmas Tree event is just around the corner. The Point Church, formerly Newcastle Baptist Church, will be presenting their 30th annual concert at their 582 King George Highway location at 7:00 every day from Wednesday, December 3 to Sunday, December 7. This year’s event, “Christmas Hope,” welcomes everyone, not only members of the congregation.

This year’s performance will be a landmark occasion for the church as it marks the 30th year of a local tradition for many people living in the Miramichi region. In celebration, The Point Church is offering a fifth showing and has organized an outdoor living nativity. The show itself will include choral arrangements, solos, Christmas carols, dancing, and acting.

The event is free, but tickets are required for admission. Tickets can be picked up from the Newcastle church office or reserved by calling 506-622-4540 or going online at www.thepointchurch.ca. Guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the food bank and a free-will offering will be taken on each night of the concert. All donations will go to local charities to help those in need.
