Newcastle Farmers Market Something for Everyone
Every Friday from 10 am until 2 pm, the Newcastle Farmers Market offers something for everyone at the Lindon Recreation Centre, 487 King George Highway.
This one-stop market has a long history of drawing a large crowd every week, especially those seeking plenty of speedy affordable options for their lunch break. From sausage on a bun to full hot and cold meals and delicious desserts, there’s a lot of variety being served up on the menu.
After enjoying a meal from the food vendors, one can shop for everything from make-up and other beauty items, to crafts, dolls and much more. Pick up a good book from one vendor and then a hand-crafted wooden lawn chair from another to create that perfect outdoor reading nook.
Enjoy a good selection of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables to help you prepare your weekly meal plans. and don’t forget to include a jar of homemade pickles, preserves, jams or jellies. And of course, no visit to the market would be complete without sampling some of the famous Susan’s Fudge, which bring sweet tooth lovers back every week.
