Miramichi Young Professionals & Involved Entrepreneurs (MYPIE) 2019 Gala and Awards Recipients
Miramichi Young Professionals and Involved Entrepreneurs (MYPIE) are excited to announce the recipients of their annual awards, now in their 11th year of recognizing the contributions of our younger generations in local business, entrepreneurship and community.
The 11th annual MYPIE Gala will take place on Saturday Sept 21, 2019 at the Miramichi Golf and Country Club.
“This year we once again have a truly amazing group of awards recipients who are all doing incredible things that are having a significant impact on our local economy and in the community,” noted MYPIE President Breanne Tozer.
“There were a record number of nominations this year, and in fact for the first time we will be honoring two Community Champions, both Lisa and Mikayla’s community work was so significant, expansive, and diverse we couldn’t choose just one,” she added.
This year’s MYPIE Awards recipients will be:
Entrepreneur of the Year – Vanessa McEvoy and Nick Law – Dooryard Co. & The Yoga Block
Professional of Year – Brandon Savage – Teacher at MVHS
Customer Service Excellence Award – Dane Gunnlaugson – Canadian Tire Gas Bar
New Business of the Year – Fletcher Farms – John and Natalie Fletcher
Community Champion – Lisa Mitchell (Towne Hill Jewelry) & Mikayla Bushey (NBCC Student)
The awards will be presented at the MYPIE Gala Awards Reception that begins at 7pm with a cocktail and hor d’oeuvres reception, followed by the awards ceremony at 8pm.
Continuing on a new tradition started last year, the awards ceremony will also feature a keynote motivational address, which will be presented this year by Greg Hemmings of Hemmings House Pictures, a socially conscious entrepreneur and filmmaker.
MYPIE would like to invite everyone in the community to come out and celebrate the contributions of the award recipients and all MYPIE members to the community with us.
