Newcastle Cardinals vs Chatham Head Tigers
MIRAMICHI – The Newcastle Cardinals are back on home turf tonight as the Chatham Head Tigers visit Cardinal Field for a 7:30 p.m. tilt.
Tonight marks the beginning of a new era for the Cardinals as their new uniforms will be revealed, retiring the Combines uniforms wore last year and for the first two games of this season. The uniforms will sport the new logo designed for the relaunch of the Cardinals.
While the Cardinals will be playing their third game of the season it will be the second for the Tigers. Chatham Head were doubled up 8-4 by the Aigles to open the season. The Tigers and Cardinals were scheduled to meet earlier this week in Chatham Head, but the game was rained out.
No word yet on when the game will be played.
The Cardinals will be looking to rebound tonight coming off a 4-2 road loss to the Tracadie-Sheila Aigles that saw their record drop to 1-1 on the season.
