21inc Seeks Nominations for Leadership Experience
21inc is looking for exceptional leaders and entrepreneurs between the ages of 20 and 35 to be nominated for their unique pan-Atlantic leadership experience!
The 21inc Emerging Leaders Summit is an intensive, three-day leadership experience designed to encourage and support young Atlantic Canadians identified as leaders or who have demonstrated considerable leadership potential in their field or workplace. A total of 50 leaders are chosen from hundreds of nomination to participate in the summit. The first edition of the summit generated 407 nominations. This year, their goal is to reach over 500 nominations.
The Summit complements 21inc’s flagship 21 Leaders for the 21st Century development program and is offered in conjunction with the biennial Ideas Festival. The leadership experience marks the importance 21inc grants to supporting emerging leaders in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Taking into consideration the present economic situation and the challenges Atlantic Provinces have to overcome, it becomes even more pertinent to assure collaboration amongst tomorrow’s emerging leaders and offer them the tools necessary to take the lead and face the challenges that await them. 21inc explicitly builds learning networks between diverse and inspiring groups of emerging and established provincial and regional leaders. By facilitating “creative collisions” between the people who can propel new models of leadership and action, our communities, provinces, and region will thrive in the 21st Century.
Emerging Leaders will be selected based on a nomination process and a number of criteria including: demonstrated leadership, achievement, and a commitment to serving or enhancing the community. Selections will be made by a panel of regional judges, facilitated by Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette. The nomination period officially opened as of Monday, May 13th and will run until Friday, June 7th. The second edition of 21inc’s Emerging Leaders Summit will take place October 20th to the 23rd in St. Andrew’s, where participants will be joined by highly respected educators, practitioners and mentors. Selected candidates continue their development at the second iteration of the very successful 21inc Ideas Festival, scheduled for October 23rd to the 25th.
