The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is hosting a volunteer event Saturday, October 18th from 10 am – 4 pm at the Tabusintac Community Centre.

Join us in a bird ID workshop to learn how to identify different species of ducks, geese, terns, birds of prey, and more with our expert birders. Then, help us complete a survey around the pristine Tabusintac Estuary, internationally recognized for its waterfowl concentrations, Piping Plover beaches and the second largest tern colony in Atlantic Canada where NCC has protected over a thousand acres of the surrounding land for future generations.

Finish up the day meeting up with fellow birders to compare notes and enjoy some hot drinks to warm up. Help us out with your birding skills to determine species and numbers of ducks and other waterfowl using the area. All levels of experience welcome!
