Big Tex Trout Derby
With the 27th Annual Big Tex Trout Derby taking place on the long weekend, many people hit the shores along the river in Metepenagiag (Red Bank) to participate in the event.
There were plenty of fishing tales shared as anglers lined the shores and sailed the river in hopes of winning a prize with their catch. The Derby was broken into Three Divisions, A, B, and C, as well as awards for Big Louie Largest Trout and Most Caught Trout.
