tabuoldhome2015aIt only happens once every five years and … you might need four years to recover! But 2015 is the year to celebrate! Tabusintac Old Home Week kicks off this weekend with a full week jam packed with activities for the whole family! All Roads Lead Home!

Saturday, August 1
7:30 – 11 am Breakfast (Neguac Special Olympics) – Tabusintac Community Center
8 am – 12 pm Tabusintac Country Market – Tent
8 am Souvenir Sales – Tent
9 am – 4 pm Genealogy Center – Tabusintac Community Center
9 am – 4 pm Art Show & Exhibit – Tabusintac Community Center
10 am to 5 pm Quilt Show – Hosted by Common Thread Quilting Group – Tabusintac Library & Museum – $2 entry fee
1 – 4 pm Car Show (Registration 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) – Tabusintac Recreation Field
1 – 4 pm Mock Jail (Fundraiser for the Tabusintac Nursing Home Activity Department) – Tabusintac Recreation Field
6:30 pm – Big Tabusintac Family picture – Tabusintac Recreation Field (Be in the field at 6:15 pm) EVERYONE welcome!
7 pm Opening Ceremonies – Tent
10 pm – 1 am Welcome Home Dance – Thirsty Rangers

2 pm Cemetery Service – Tabusintac Riverside Cemetery. Immediately following the service – dedication of Loyalist Burial site plaque
3 – 5 pm Art Show & Exhibit – Tabusintac Community Center
3 – 5 pm Genealogy Center – Tabusintac Community Center
3:30 – 5 pm – Open House – Tabusintac Community School & Center
2 pm and on – Tribute to Fishermen/Blessing of the Fleet/Parade of Lights/Fireworks – MacEachern’s Wharf – events beginning in the afternoon with music, BBQ/ corn boil. 2 pm Music · 4 pm BBQ · 7 pm Tribute to Fishermen · 7:30 pm Blessing of Fleet · 8:30 pm Parade of Lights · 9:30 or dark Fireworks

Family Time – Please use this time for family, school and settlement reunions. School & Settlement reunions taking place for Price Settlement, Hierlihy School, Red Pine Island School, Robertson School and Covedell School. Enjoy time with your family and friends and get recharged for the rest of the week.

Softball tournament all week. Limit of 16 teams, $150 registration. Pre-register by emailing TOHW2015@gmail.com or contact Lloyd Ross or register August 1. Teams must be a minimum 6 men and 3 women.

Canteen on site at the Tabusintac Recreation Field.

*Note – there are other events taking place, hosted by other organizations that are not listed on this schedule. Tabusintac Old Home Week is not permitted to host those events due to increased costs of liability insurance.
