Ironmen – Loss in Cross-Over at Nationals

Playing before a packed home town crowd, the Miecon Ironmen were defeated 3-1 by the Fredericton Royals in the cross-over play-off game on Saturday. Jamie Walls tossed a complete game for the Ironmen and with a timely hit here or there it may have had a different outcome.
The Ironmen finished the round-robin in 2nd with a 3-1 record, losing to BC in the opener and defeating Alberta (JF Neveu wininnig pitcher) , Nova Scotia (Jacob Beck WP) and Newfoundland (Robbie Murphy -WP).
Next is the league play-offs against Charlottetown with a tentative starting date of Thursday Aug 27 at Ironmen Field.
