5th Annual Greater Blackville Resource Centre Turkey Drive

TurkeyDrive2016The Greater Blackville Resource Centre’s (GBRC) Food bank is accepting donations as a part of its annual Turkey Drive. A donation of $25 will provide a turkey and all the trimmings (vegetables, cranberries and stuffing) for a family in our local community. Donations can be dropped off at the GBRC during operating hours on Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm or Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. Receipts for income tax purposes are available. More information is available by calling the GBRC during operating hours at 843-9024.

The Greater Blackville Resource Centre is a 100% volunteer operated registered charity with a clear vision – to assist persons in need and promote unity in the community.

We do this through various projects, but the majority of our effort goes into the operation of the Food Bank here in Blackville. The Food Bank does not receive regular financial support from any level of government and all revenue comes from our thrift store, fundraising activities, and generosity of the local community.

We are proud to say that with the help of our dedicated volunteers and community support we have been self-sufficient since first opening in 2012, and have been providing food boxes every month to those in need.

The GBRC is located at 12073 Route 8 in Upper Blackville at the Voice of Hope Ministries building.
