The championship countdown is on! This weekend the puck drops at the Civic Centre as the Miramichi Honda Tim Hortons Rivermen host the 2017 Major Midget Atlantic Championship. Your Rivermen will hit the ice for their first tournament performance at 8 pm this Thursday March 30th against the St. John’s Maple Leafs (NL).

The tournament gets underway at 1 pm on March 30th when the St. John’s Maple Leafs face off against the Moncton Flyers, who are representing NB in the championships. At 4 pm the Kensington Wild, representing PEI, go head to head against the Cape Breton West Islanders, representing NS. The official Opening Ceremonies will take place at 7:15 pm before the host Miramichi Honda Tim Hortons Rivermen take to the ice against Newfoundland.

The Championships will continue throughout the weekend with the final Gold Medal game happening Sunday April 2nd at 12 noon.

Tickets and passes are currently on sale at the Portage Restaurant, Kingston’s Fuels, and Pizza Delight Newcastle. Weekend passes are $40. Daily passes are $10 for students and $20 for adults.
