Rock ‘n Roll Festival Huge Success
The weather gods were feeling the Rock ‘N Roll this weekend as sunny skies and warm temperatures drew record crowds to the Newcastle downtown. The 21st Annual Rock ‘n Roll Festival wrapped up yesterday, Sunday July 5th, with the Goodie Shop Restaurant Golden Oldie Car Show. The highlight event of the weekend had over 100 car owners from across Canada showing off their babies to the large appreciative crowd.
A great new feature to the festival this year was the Big Tent in the waterfront parking lot. Crowds flocked there all weekend to take in the live entertainment, Vision Pro Wrestling, and other parts of the festival while enjoying a breeze off the river.
